What a weekend that was, it was an interesting last round to the year.
I am going to have a dollar on the Cats to win the flag this year and another one on the Swannies as an outsider. I just cannot back Collingwood though I would like to see the Swans have a real crack at the title. I went to the Swans game on the weekend, it was a good win but I was a little dissapointed with their energy. They will have to kick it up a notch. Who would have expected the Cats win over the Woods...I never thought we would see the flogging that they ended up getting. This could spure the Woods for their next encounter...It would be good to see the Cats hold it together when they end up meeting again. This weekend will be interesting...go Swannies! |

Spring is in the air, which means finals time in the footy. So who do you think will take the AFL flag this season? Post your thoughts and take the ShareScene poll.

Looks to be some pretty good match-ups this weekend.
Go the Blues. When they get knocked out it would be good to see the Doggies have some success. -------------------- "Money is being taken from the competent and given to the incompetent."

Geelong - couldn't put a foot wrong all day.
Port - can't rely on efforts of Cornes & Burgoyne Brothers only on biggest day of year. Too many spectators! (Great year overall though.) 2008 - ah, the hopes of all teams start again. Not a Hawk supporter, but with another pre-season & year of experience behind them, this will be the team to watch in 2008. Franklin & Roughhead!! (How Richmond didn't draft Franklin has me beat??) Hi, back from the MCG a disappointed POWER supporter.
However, let me congratulate GEELONG what a wonderful performance on the big stage. They were magnificent and fully deserved to win the flag. I also thought Scarlet was BOG. Now it is time to look forward to the 2008 season, we have seen the measuring stick. Geelong have set the standard, and how good did they look. 2007 the Year of the CAT....congratulations to the GEELONG Football Club. |
