Silence v ALNY outcome. So what are we waiting for now?

QUOTE
<Alnylam Announces Settlement of Litigation with Silence Therapeutics CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ALNY), the leading RNAi therapeutics company, announced today that it has resolved all litigation worldwide with Silence Therapeutics. The settlement allows Alnylam to avoid the costs and distraction associated with continued litigation in multiple countries. Under terms of the global settlement, Silence will receive a low royalty on annual net sales of ONPATTRO in the EU only, with tiered royalties of 0.33 percent to 1.0 percent through 2023.

Further terms of the agreement include the grant from Silence to Alnylam of a non-exclusive, global irrevocable, license to all relevant patents and for all current and future Alnylam products, whether commercialized by Alnylam or a collaborator or licensee (including ONPATTRO, vutrisiran, givosiran, lumasiran, inclisiran, fitusiran, cemdisiran, ALN-HBV02, ALN-AAT02, and all other investigational therapeutics in Alnylam’s current and future pipeline). Such license is fully paid up with no milestones or royalties, except for the limited royalty on ONPATTRO net sales in the EU described above.

Under the agreement, all ongoing court proceedings will be dismissed and each party will bear its own attorney fees and costs incurred in the global proceedings. Terms of the settlement, which includes no admissions by any party, are otherwise confidential.

When the original takeover play came in for BLT, pre-CSIRO days, it was on the first or second trading day of a new year. That's a new financial year for the Americans as well.

Perhaps this is what Pfizer and ALNY are waiting for.

Merck paid $1.3bn for Sirna all those years ago. Now Moderna have listed and they are in partnership with Merck.

Pfizer still invisible. What is their problem?

Couple of interesting things on Dirks blog. First, he refers to ddRNAi as if its ALNY's. Remember the contra options? BLT got royally shafted and never recovered. PYC in similar situation I think. ALNY has a footprint in there.

$ALNY (R&D webcast) scaremongering again about expressed/ddRNAi. They always do this when feeling threatened (here new CNS franchise).

Moderna IPO'ed Friday. I am surprised at the dearth of commentary on it. Its down 18%!

I think we are entering a new phase.

Moderna really getting a head of steam on now. Notice of Effectiveness has been granted. Shares are registered.

What will the big reveal actually reveal?

If BLT aren't a piece of the pie then it will be 10c or less on open.

We're almost at Ground Zero. Banks are about to get a margin call upon release of a report in the next two weeks. Moderna must be close to finalizing their IPO. Silence bang their legal head against ALNYs this month. Though nobody knows when exactly. Trump and Xi are compromising with each other. The market is on life support and waiting for a catalyst.

We just need to be told.

This Sino-US trade spat and talk of Trump and Xi kissing and making up at the G20 reminds me too much of when Japan was at its economic zenith. They were taking over the world just like China. The US decided enough was enough and Super 301'ed them with sanctions, closed the borders attacked their banks and bankers and basically just FUBARed them. Even forced a President led trade delegation to make the trip to Japan and do deals. Does anyone remember Old Man Bush barfing his lunch up into the Japanese Prime Minister's lap? Hilarious now still. Just imagine at the time. GOOGLE it. Ok. I might be a bit harsh there. It could've been dinner and not lunch. Too much of the sake if you ask me. Must be where Junior got his habit from.

Anyway the point is, if Trump and Xi are in a love fest, then maybe Au. biotech will be ok. I doubt BLT will be though.

The latest from Moderna. We inch closer to the starting gun for biotech, the cliff edge for everything else.
